Taranaki Environmental Education Trust (TEET) - Sustainable Taranaki - is an information hub for sustainable living and environmental conservation.

Seed Savers Taranaki - Members select and grow plants that grow best in our region, taste best and are resistant to local pests and diseases. Seeds are available for exchange at Seed Swap Gatherings or the Seed Bank. For more information visit our Seed Savers web page.
On The House - On The House is a non-religious community group that was started to create a space for the community to interact, build relationships and to serve free surplus food to those in need. They are part of the Free Store Movement in New Zealand and are completely run by volunteers.
OtH collect food that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it to anybody who is willing to patiently line up. It's all about Less Waste & More Taste!
OtH can be found in the carpark beside 109 Devon St W in New Plymouth (across from TSB Showplace) every Thursdays 4:30-5:00pm. Visit their Facebook page to find out more about this awesome organisation.
